AEHL’s Source for Sports Players of the Month – February

The Alberta Elite Hockey League is pleased to announce Ethan Hughes, Kale Dach, and Carter Esler as the Source for Sports Players of the Month for February.

U18 AAAEthan Hughes (Forward – Edmonton Jr. Oilers Blue)

 

Hughes tore up the month of February, posting eight goals and 10 assists while helping the Jr. Oilers Blue go 8-0 throughout the month. At the face-off dot he averaged 68 per cent and was a plus 13. Hughes aided in the team clinching second place in the North Division.

 

 

U17 AAAKale Dach (Forward – Fort Saskatchewan Rangers)

Dach led all players in scoring for the month of February with 15 points (four goals and 11 assists) in seven games as he helped the Rangers secure first place in the North Division.

“Kale is a great athlete both on and off the ice. He excels in all three zones and has a bright future in the game. He’s a solid teammate and someone who competes hard daily,” said Mason Hawkes, Head Coach of the Rangers.

 

U15 AAACarter Esler (Goalie – Okotoks Oilers)

Esler suited up in six games for the Okotoks Oilers, recording a 5-1 record. He faced 220 shots and posted a 0.932 per cent save percentage – the highest save percentage in the league this season. His efforts helped the Oilers move into third place in a tough South Division.

“Carter gives the Oilers a chance to win every game he plays and he is a great leader on and off the ice,” said Jamie Steer, the Okotoks Oilers Head Coach.
