The Alberta Elite Hockey League’s U15 AAA regular season has come to a close, with fourteen teams advancing to the playoffs, including the St. Albert Sabres, who finished atop the league with 61 points.
Before the U15 AAA playoffs officially begin, the eighth and ninth-place teams in each division will compete in a play-in round to advance to the playoffs.
The final standings at the conclusion of the U15 AAA regular season are:

Fort Sask forward Kale Dach wrapped up his outstanding season with a league-best 92 points – 30 points ahead of the next-leading scorer. Dach finished with 34 goals and a league-leading 58 assists in just 34 games. Okotoks forward Kyle McDonough took the U15 AAA goal-scoring title with 36 in 31 games.
Airdrie’s Corbin Sanderman led all goaltenders with 16 regular season wins, while St. Albert netminder Finn Werner, who finished without a regulation loss (15-0-1), was one of three goaltenders who finished right behind Sanderman with 15 wins. Werner’s partner in the crease, Matthew Kondro, finished the regular season with the top GAA (1.55), Red Deer’s Domenik McInenly finished with the best SV% (.944), and Fort Sask’s Owen Callicott led the way in shutouts, with four.
Both North and South Division Play-In Series kick off on Wednesday, March 2. The winner of each best-of-three series will move on to face the first place team in their respective division – the St. Albert Sabres in the North, and Airdrie Xtreme in the South.
