LEDUC – The Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL) U15 AAA Showcase is being held in Leduc, February 1-4.
The Showcase will feature 30 games over the weekend with all 20 clubs participating.
Games kicked off on Thursday evening to get the weekend started between the Calgary Northstars and LJAC Oil Kings at Chemco Arena. The Airdrie Xtreme then took on the South Side (SSAC) Southgate Lions at Wilhauk Beef Jerky Arena. The weekend continues with games starting at 9 A.M. on Friday with Parkland (PAC) Saints and the Fort Saskatchewan Enhance It Rangers. The Showcase ends with the Red Deer Rebels and Maple Leaf (MLAC) Scott Pump.
There are 10 games on Friday and Saturday followed by eight games on Sunday.
The St. Albert Raiders Sabres and Calgary Flames (NWCAA) are leading the pack in each division, with a combined four losses between the two clubs. Both team’s have already cliched their playoff spot with 47 and 46 points respectively.
This is the third and final showcase of the AEHL season.
