WELCOME TO THE ALBERTA ELITE HOCKEY LEAGUE!

AAA Hockey

The Alberta Elite Hockey League is the single governing body for AAA male hockey for all teams identified under Hockey Alberta’s Elite Male Hockey Model.

The AAA Hockey Model provides guidance and direction so that players have opportunity and movement options available to meet their needs as well as that of the teams involved. The most significant principle of the model is the agreement that, at all times, everyone will act in the best interest of the athlete and work to provide them with the ability to play at the highest level they can attain. The AAA Hockey Model further recognizes and supports the fact that each athlete has the right to consider all options.

The AEHL is a sanctioned league of Hockey Alberta and is comprised of the U18 AAA Division (formerly the Alberta Midget Hockey League), U17 AAA Division (formerly the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League), the U15 AAA Division (formerly the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League) and the U13 AAA Division.

Member teams in the AEHL are eligible for Provincial Playoffs for the four Divisions as provided in the Hockey Alberta Regulations, unless otherwise directed by Hockey Alberta.

The League plays under the Rules of Hockey Canada and Hockey Alberta, and each team is responsible for complying with all rules and regulations of those Governing Bodies as well as the regulations of the League.
